In reply to Kaylee Bonds. He is a great project! Please add in that it's only been in the last 10 or 15 years that people have been talking about Black cowboys. Now we know that a high percentage of cowboys were Black. They were very important.

In reply to Betsy Ann Toy. Thanks for reading/posting. Yes, most presidents in modern day have established another White House so they had some place other than Washington. Reagan had his ranch in California... Both LBJ and George W. Bush (43) had ranches in Texas. George H.W. Bush preferred Maine.. so yes, most of them wanted to have someplace that was more relaxing.

Love it. I was a safety patrol girl in St. Paul in the late 60’s. We had brown leather belts and orange oilcloth flags. We marched in a parade in downtown St. Paul. We had blue felt berets and it rained. The blue bled all down our faces.

In reply to Stevi Schermi. How wonderful that you've been involved in dog rescue work. We don't have pets now as we are in an apartment, but before this we alwyas had rescue animals...felt like the right thing to do.

I’m 86 and have been rescuing all kinds of canines since I’m six years old..dogs are wonderful..much needed for humans…
