Even going south for summer trips I never remembered encountering prejudice is possible that we did and I was too young to recognize the symptoms. It appears that under he present “regime” there are attempts in this country to segregate once more. These persons and groups have made a mockery of our Constitution and what it stands for. I do agree partially on one point: we are hard pressed to take care of our own and those already here, we cannot support the influx of thousands. They need to find ways to take their countries back, even if we have to work with them. This country was built to conquer prejudices, yet the people who were persecuted had those who in turn persecuted others to feel better about themselves which was and is ridiculous. We are being encouraged to hate, not accept.

Thank you for visiting. This story concerns a woman who was in the military and was supposed to leave her seat on the bus so a white man could sit there.
There is nothing here about plantations or slavery, but thank you for posting so I could clarify.
